The season opening competition in Salt Lake City was tough!

The season opening competition in Salt Lake City was tough! The route style was decidedly more dynamic and bouldery than last year, with spectacular crux sections. I placed 4th due timing and am honored to climb among so many strong and kind athletes. My left shoulder was still quite weak from the muscle strain this spring, but I think it will be back 100% for the world championship in August. Takeaways for me are to climb faster, drink less coffee, open more barndoors and climb more dynamic plastic routes (no regrets on 2 weeks of indian creek though 😅).
