The #Oberaarhorn is located just above the glacier that feeds the river Aare, which winds its way through Bern and further north all the way into the Rhine. We chose to climb it in one go car-to-car and ignore the cabin on its flank, which resulted in a nice big acclimatization trip. While the peak itself was an easy scramble (my luck as I was huffing and puffing at that altitude), the long and crevassed glacier approach took most of our time. Our feet were surely happy to be freed from their crampon prisons after a long day. One for the memory books, that sunrise will be hard to forget! Thanks for the beautiful day @eershova ❤️
